Just a quick note...

This was so exciting... I had to post...

I just had my photography teacher look over my pictures from our first field trip (as all the students are supposed to do) and he said of all the ones he'd seen so far, I had the best! And I know he's already looked at most of the class.

How cool is that! He said I had very good composition. That a lot of people were just doing "point and shoot" and not setting up a shot. :-) Any way... I just thought that was exciting.

That's great! Good for you. I'm sure it is encouraging to get such nice feedback. :)I really enjoyed the long blog the other day; its just like having a conversation with you.
I'm so sorry about your Uncle Wally. Praise the Lord for His grace in saving him and that you'll see him again someday.
May He give you peace. --Jenna

Aaaaahhhhh!!! That is so good! Of course, any of us could have told him that, but it's nice he figured it out on his own. ;-)
Keep having fun,

P.S. I loved the pictures of the Hermitage! It looks absolutely beautiful. You looked very nice in front of it; did you plan to coordinate? :)

Way to go, Lil!! But then, we knew you've been taking pictures since you could hold a camera. Now, the challenge is up to him to make the "best so far" even better. And what beautiful subject matter for practice - I'm really enjoying your blog and the pics. Keep up the journalistic efforts. Love ya - JuJu

That is awesome, Lydia!

In completely unrelated geek news, they guy who played Romo Lampkin (Baltar's Lawyer) and Badger (Firefly) is coming to DCon, and so is Gates MacFadden (Beverly Crusher). Woohoo! Just thought you'd like to know... :)

I was looking at your pictures yesterday and thinking how amazing they were, I'm glad your photography teacher thought so as well!! =)

Oh- a note- On DK, Mrs. Paul was giving away these book cover flats that she was signing for Dragonfire. She said she had a limited amount, and I didn't know if you'd see it in time, so I went ahead and signed you up for one. Didn't think you'd mind.

Hey Sweetheart,

Your mom and dad are home and we are tired from the events and travel.

Dear, sweet Miss Sandy is making supper for us tonight. What a blessing!

I'm proud of your photog work and of you carrying on the family tradition of camera art.

I love you and will be in touch on Thursday.

I love you,
mom

So happy for you, Lydia! We look forward to seeing more of your stellar shots!!!

All the young ladies with cameras around here sure know how put together some good pics! I think you all inspire each other.

Glad your teacher recognized all the great talent we have been seeing for so long.

May you appreciate God's creation and the designs of man with each click of the shutter! ~T&S H
