It is hard to believe, that in five hours, I will be flying out of Atlanta, on my way to Russia. In one hour I will be leaving for the airport, and in two hours I will be meeting with my group, getting my ticket and preparing to leave. Wow.
It has been an interesting morning over here. I was awoken by my friend, Eden. She was going to be out for the day and wanted to say goodbye. After get over the slight shock of seeing her in my room at 8 o'clock this morning, I was very glad she came by, I had wanted to see her again, but wasn't sure I was going to be able to. I got up, did stuff around the house etc. I called my friend Merci and was able to talk to her for awhile. Then my Granny and PawPaw came, and we were able to visit with them for a bit. That was very nice getting to see them before I fly off. Did some more things, had some more phone calls and a visitor (E's Mum). And know I'm trying to make sure I have everything done on the computer that I need to get done!
I got all packed yesterday afternoon. It was a very nice feeling of accomplishment. My friend Sarah came by and spent the afternoon, and then my other friend Melody came by to give me a neck massage (it was wonderful), stayed and had dinner with us. Then she also stayed while I did some last minute clothes folding and watched Elizabethtown. (I love that movie). Having her there really helped keep my mind off of the fact I was leaving today.
I was ablet to sleep better than I thought I would last night. It did take me a bit to go to sleep, but I slept more than I thought I would. Which is good.
Now it is just those few last minute things to get done, and I'll be off. I'm nervous, excited, and thrilled all at the same time!
I want to say thanks to all of you have told me you are praying for me and my family. I really appreciate it and I can't tell you how comforting it is to know how many people are praying. Please also pray for my luggage! I'll be going through a lot of airports and back and forth between places, and the one thing I don't want lost is my checked luggage!
Next time I post, it will hopefully be from Russia with Love!!! :-)

Lydia,
Thank you ever so much for including me in your e-mail. I am praying for you and your luggage. I know you will have a wonderful and adventurous time in Russia. I look forward to your e-mail journals. Again, Enjoy and have the time of your life. " life is just a moment."
Love,
Mrs. Stone
On a serious note, Lil, please be careful. Not that it's ever calm, but there's been a lot of civil unrest lately in Russia, so make sure you go places with other people and move away from any kind of massing crowd. The police do not handle such matters by checking IDs and concerning themselves with citizenship. We want you to come back to us in one happy piece.
I hope you have the greatest time ever. Who knows, you could even turn this experience into a book! Take care, and I hope you have a good flight.
Lil,
You're off to a great start! Added to your blog, lots of visits and calls, and packed early. Your parents were checking where your plane was in the skies when I called tonite. I'm so proud of your preparations and commitment to making your dream trip come true. Enjoy this adventure and be safe! Praying for you and the group!
